This tour takes in some of the best locations in outback NSW and SA with a brief visit to QLD. On our first night we will watch the sun set over the Mundi Mundi Plains where its so flat you can see the curvature of the earth. Then its off to the Flinders Ranges where we walk up to the Wilpena Pound lookout before driving through some of the best gorges in the Flinders. Next its up the Oodnadatta Track to swim in hot springs, visit Lake Eyre and have a beer in the most remote pub in Australia, visit the restored Farina Ruins and check out some of the Old Ghan Railway sidings. The highlight of this trip is then the full west - east crossing of the Simpson Desert via some of the more remote tracks before having dinner in the famous Birdsville hotel. We will then head to Innamincka to see explorers Burke & Wills grave before heading to Cameron Corner (where NSW, SA, QLD meet), visit Tibooburra and finally White Cliffs for some opal mining.
